Greaser is a free, non-commercial flight logbook for Microsoft Flight Simulator, operated as a personal project. It records simulated flights sent by the Greaser desktop application, analyses them, and displays them to you and — where you choose — to other users. All flight data is simulator data: Greaser does not track real-world aircraft, real-world locations or real people.
You agree not to disrupt the service, probe or circumvent its security, access data of other users, subject it to automated bulk traffic, or submit content that is unlawful, abusive or infringes the rights of others — including in usernames and free-text fields. The operator may suspend or delete accounts that violate these rules, and may remove content.
The Greaser desktop application and the in-simulator EFB app are provided free of charge for use with this service. Obtain them only from this website. You may not reverse engineer, modify or redistribute them except where mandatory law permits.
The service and software are provided “as is” and “as available”, free of charge and without any warranty — express or implied — of availability, correctness, fitness for a particular purpose or freedom from defects. Scores, analyses and statistics are entertainment; they are not flight instruction and no evidence of real-world proficiency. The service may be changed, interrupted or discontinued at any time; data may be lost. The operator will endeavour to announce material changes and a discontinuation in advance, but does not warrant it.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the operator excludes all liability for damage arising out of or in connection with the use of, or inability to use, this free service, including loss of data. This exclusion does not apply to damage caused by unlawful intent or gross negligence, to injury to life, body or health, or to any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law — including mandatory rights of consumers in their country of residence.
The service relies on third-party infrastructure (hosting, email delivery — see the Privacy Policy) and interoperates with software the operator does not control, in particular Microsoft Flight Simulator. The operator is not responsible for third-party services.
These terms may be updated. Material changes will be announced on the website or by email with reasonable notice. If you continue to use the service after a change takes effect, the updated terms apply. If you do not agree, stop using the service and request deletion of your account.
These terms are governed by Swiss law, to the exclusion of its conflict-of-law rules and the CISG. Exclusive place of jurisdiction is the operator’s domicile in Switzerland — subject to mandatory statutory venues, in particular those available to consumers.
